At Pigeon Couriers, packaging is not just a process — it's a critical component of our delivery success. Proper packaging ensures goods are secured, protected, and handled appropriately from pickup to delivery. Our goal is to minimize damage, maximize efficiency, and ensure each parcel is delivered in optimal condition, regardless of destination or fragility.
We adhere to industry best practices and safety standards when it comes to handling and packaging parcels. These include the use of high-quality boxes, protective materials, and sealing methods based on item category. Whether it's electronics, textiles, perishables, or machinery, each shipment follows a set packaging guideline to ensure compliance and safe handling.
Pigeon Couriers uses a range of protective materials including foam inserts, bubble wrap, corrugated boxes, and anti-static covers depending on the item’s sensitivity. For high-value or fragile items, we recommend additional internal padding and tamper-proof packaging to reduce movement and prevent breakage.
Temperature-sensitive goods like medicines or food are packed with insulated containers, ice packs, or gel packs to maintain freshness and integrity during transit. Electronics are wrapped with anti-static layers and placed in shock-absorbing packaging to protect against humidity, dust, and static interference.
We do not accept items packaged in weak, damaged, or leaking containers. Similarly, certain materials like loose bags, thin plastic wraps, or worn-out boxes are rejected to maintain safety standards. Items containing hazardous substances or requiring special permits must not be packed using standard courier packaging. Improper packaging may result in delays or return to sender.
As part of our sustainability efforts, Pigeon Couriers promotes the use of recyclable materials such as kraft paper, biodegradable wraps, and reusable containers. Customers can request eco-friendly options during dispatch, and our teams are trained to minimize packaging waste wherever possible.
Proper labeling is mandatory on all shipments. This includes sender and receiver details, tracking ID, and any applicable handling symbols like “Fragile” or “Keep Upright.” Clear, legible labels help our handlers sort and deliver packages accurately while minimizing the risk of damage or delay during transit.
